Do you need help meeting requirements for nature badges?
During a scout program at White Memorial, you can complete the minimum requirements for the following awards:

Cub Scouts:
  • Bear Scouts – Sharing Your World with Wildlife
  • Cub Scout Academic Awards – Wildlife Conservation Belt Loop or Pin, Geology Belt Loop, Hiking Belt Loop and/or Pin
  • Webelos Activity Badges – Geologist, Naturalist, Forester
  • Conservation Good Turn Award – we can work together to develop a project for your group
Girl Scouts:
  • Brownies – Hiker, Bugs, Senses
  • Juniors – Animal Habitats
  • Cadettes – Night Owl, Trees

We can also conduct a program that fulfills any one aspect of a nature-related scout requirement.

Examples include:
  • Learn 7 trail signs (Hiking Pin)
  • Participate in a nature hike (Outdoor Activity Award)
  • Keep a checklist of birds on a field trip (Bird Study Merit Badge)
  • Take a hike and make a leaf rubbing (Tiger Scouts – Let's Go Outdoors)
  • Identify 5 different kinds of fish (Wolf Scouts – Fishing Elective and World Conservation Award)
Just ask how we can design a program to meet your needs.

Camping is a requirement of many scout badges. Year-round camping for scout groups is available on White Memorial's 4,000-acre wildlife sanctuary.

Programs last up to 1-1/2 hours and cost $115 (25 people maximum) and take place either in White Memorial's classroom or out on one of our trails.
